Design of Digital Integrated Circuits

This one semester course on the design of digital integrated circuits includes lectures, homework, labs with CAD tools and a small design project. The goal of the course is to provide in-depth knowledge of basic digital circuits and digital circuit design techniques used in CMOS technology plus a review of the design process of integrated circuits. The course is organized in parallel to course CAD, is a prerequisite for the course Analog-1 of the same semester and prerequisite of all courses in the following semesters.
Prerequisites for the Digital-1 course are basics in physics, basics in logic and circuit design as well as basics in electronic components.
Responsible for the course: Erwin Ofner
Course number: ISCD-1.03
