Education in Systems Engineering at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences is focused on project based learning. Short projects in lab accompany lectures already throughout the basic studies. Semester 4 & 5 of the 3 year bachelor program (semester 5 & 6 of the previous 4 year full-time diploma curriculum) concentrate on a 2 semester student project with accompanying courses, offering technical assistance for the project as well as soft skills like project management, presentation techniques and quality assurance. This prepares for projects to be carried out during the subsequent industry internships and the bachelor/diploma thesis.

Postgraduate studies at partner universities are supported with attractive research projects.
